  • CHIP is hiring a project director for the Chula Vista Healthy Start Collaborative. This project, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), will create healthy food and physical activity environments for Latino children aged 0-5 in the community of Western Chula Vista. The director will oversee all aspects of the project including project management, planning and implementation; public and community relations; partner and contractor relations; project staff; fundraising; evaluation activities; and contract management.   • Congratulations to the San Diego County Childhood Obesity Initiative on their Farm to School efforts in San Diego County region. The program released a new State of Farm to School Report that reveals the strong local food movement in schools. Click here to download a copy.
  • Check Your Mood San Diego Depression Screening Week is October 6-12, 2014. During this week, residents of San Diego County over the age of 18 will have the opportunity to visit designated sites to receive a free, anonymous, depression screening, and learn about the signs and symptoms of depression, anxiety disorder, postpartum depression and other topics related to depression.  Click here for more information.
